(comprehensive manual provided to each course member) All of our instructors also hold Public Liability Insurance.   Typical Course durations.  Fork lift truck training courses for Reach trucks, Counterbalance or other ride on Trucks, durations are normally:          Novice course for 3 operators = 5 days (37.5 Hours approx)        Novice course for 2 operators = 4 days (30 Hours approx)  Novice course for 1 operator = 3 days (22 Hours approx)    Existing but untrained course for 3 operators = 3 days (20 Hours approx.)   Existing but untrained course for 2 operators = 2.5 days (16.5 Hours approx.)  Existing but untrained course for 1 operator = 2 days (13 Hours approx.)   1 day Refresher or re test for 3 operator (7.5 Hours approx)    Conversion courses for up to 3 operators = 2 days (13 Hours approx.)    The Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register (ITSSAR) is a self financing and non-profit making organisation, formed to offer accreditation to training instructors and organisations supplying industrial truck and construction training services to industry. As well as offering accreditation, ITSSAR also has an ongoing programme monitoring training and safety to maintain and improve standards where necessary, in the operation of industrial trucks.   We can train a maximum of three candidates of similar ability at a time.   Course durations may be reduced for bespoke courses where not all elements are required. ie. in-house no high level racking etc. but are normally restricted to your premises.   All courses are conducted at your premises on your trucks, removing the need for candidates to travel, and allowing your workforce to gain valuable experience on the truck they will be operating within the workplace.   ITSSAR issues training standards for all categories of industrial trucks and most types of Plant. At A & L Training Services we ensure all training is carried out to the standards laid down by ITSSAR, who are recognised by the Health and Safety Commission and Listed in the Approved Code of Practice and Guidance for Rider-Operated Lift Trucks (L117).   Our instructors all have many years experience, training in industries of all types, ranging from Engineering to Logistics, including Warehouse and Distribution, Food Production,  manufacturing, motor vehicle dismantlers and salvage, so are ideally placed to understand your specific training requirements, and therefore get the best out of candidates, resulting in a high pass rate.   We will only train in groups of three students per Instructor at any time, unlike some of our competitors who will train massive groups, members of which are not likely to receive sufficient time at the controls, which will result in poorly trained staff and so may lead to a serious accident.   Although accreditation by recognised accrediting bodies is voluntary, the use by an employer of an Accredited Training Provider gives considerable assurance that the  training providedwill be at least to the standard described in the Health & Safety Commission'sCode of Practice & Guidance.
